Preparing kids to succeed
Since 2004 the Back to School Project has provided the basic necessities to over 170 disadvantaged children of Tehama County. Through various fund raisers and private tax-deductible donations, the project provides a shopping day for the children to purchase thier own clothes with the help of program volunteers, hair cuts - donated by licensed stylists and basic school supplies.
In 2008, St. Elizabeth Community Hospital is proud to assist this program in their efforts to reach the underpriviledged school aged children of Tehama County. Last year 58 children remained on the waiting list for assistance. In 2008, St. Elizebeth hopes to see no child turned away from starting the new school year with confidence and the basic necessities.
