How Can We Be Of Service?


Private Patient Rooms

 
 Your hospital room has been planned for efficient medical and nursing care in a safe, comfortable encironment.  Rooms area assigned based on your physcian's orders, the kind of medical care you need and room availability.

All rooms are private and include a bathroom equipped with emergency bells, adjustable bed, call buttons, direct dial telephone and color televisions.  If you need to speak to a nurse, press the call button on the cord attached to your bed or bed rail.

Telephone

All inpatient rooms are equipped with a direct dial telephone.  Your family and friends may call you by dialing our main number 530.529.8000 and asking the hospital operator to ring your room.  All calls within the Northern California area are provided to our patients at no charge.

Television

Color televisions with remotes are included at no charge in every patient room. 

Newspapers and Flower Delivery

The Red Bluff Daily News, our local newspaper, is provided at no charge to every patient room.  Flowers are delivered to patient rooms upon delivery.  Our Auxiliary gift shop, located at the main entrance of the hospital, also carries fresh flowers for purchase.  Please know, flowers are not allowed in the Critical Care and Intensive Care Unit.

Meals

St. Elizabeth Community Hospital makes every effort to provide nutritious meals that are prepared fresh and according to your physician's orders, including special diets.  As a patient, you will be provided with a daily menu to select your meals for the next day.  Your visitors are welcome to dine in our Cafe' Raymond.  Our inpatient meal delivery times are:  Breakfast 7:30 am - 8:30 am,  Lunch 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, Dinner 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Interpreters

If you need an interpreter, please ask your nurse or other hospital staff. A specialized phone system is available to allow interpretation for any language needed. If you are hearing impaired, we also provide certified interpretive assistance. All interpretive services are available at no charge.

Calling Your Nurse

When calling your nurse, please press the call button located on a cord attached to your bed.  The nurses station is alerted that you need assistance and will assess your needs and send someone to assit you.

Spiritual Care Services

 
 The healing of the whole person physically, psychologically and spiritually is important to us. A chaplain is available to minister to any spiritual concerns you may have. Please notify your nurse if you wish to talk with one of our chaplains. Additionally, our chapel is available to you 24 hours a day.

Valuables

St. Elizabeth Community Hospital cannot assume responsibility for lost items that are not deposited in our safe. Should you arrive with items of value, please contact your nurse who will register them with the Nursing Supervisor and deposit them in our safe during your stay. If your arrival to our hospital is unexpected, we may ask that an accompanying loved one take your items of value with them for safekeeping.

Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare

If you already have a DPAHC, please bring a copy with you. During your stay, you may request a Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare; please ask your nurse and assistance with the form will be provided.

What To Bring

Please bring only the minimum essentials with you. If you are anticipating an overnight stay, you may bring personal toiletries and containers for storing your health aids such as eyeglasses, hearing devices etc. Please limit any extra clothing to a comfortable dressing gown or pajamas, a robe and slippers. Also, we recommend that you bring any health related written information with you such as a list of medications, supplements or herbs you may be taking as well as any physician prescribed information.

What Not To Bring

Please do not bring any unnecessary valuables or large sums of money. Please bring a list of medications and any supplements or herbs you are presently taking.
