Tehama County situated at the doorstep of recreation
Tehama County is the gateway to the unique Lassen Volcanic National Park – one of the snowiest places in the lower 48 states! It offers a variety of outdoors activities including fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, horseback riding, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Just a few miles north in neighboring Shasta and Siskiyou Counties are two more popular recreational sites, Lake Shasta and Mt. Shasta Ski Park. In the warmer months, visitors enjoy a variety of water sports from house boating to water skiing on the expansive lake. In the winter months, the Mt. Shasta ski park offers downhill and cross-country skiing, a fabulous ski lodge, and a variety of cabins and other hotel accommodations.
